Hobby and History of Parkour

This is Description and Story about History of Parkour.



Parkour has the sense to move or migrate from point A to point B as efficiently and as quickly as possible using the principles by emphasizing the beauty of parkour moves well balanced by the ability of the human body itself.

Parkour actually been around since before humans knew the word "parkour" itself. But Parkour described and introduced to the world by a French man who was known by the name of David Belle. It was he who had introduced this sport to the world that was originally developed in France only. So that eventually evolved into the entire continent of Europe and eventually spread throughout the world.

But long before that, there is a 19th-century French sailor named Georges Hebert who develop training methods that humans are capable of releasing energy hidden in his body. Hebert inspired by the tribes in Africa that have athletic ability and gymnastics. Apparently, that could make a strong tribe is the surrounding environment which has itself trained them for years.

Finally, Hebert creates a method of exercise that is named with its famous motto naturalle 'etre fort pour etre utile' or 'to be strong, to be useful'.

This exercise covers ten basic movements of walking, running, jumping, swinging, quapedral movement, balancing, Throwing, lifting, climbing, and swimming. The method that was eventually used by French soldiers in the Vietnam war. One of which deepens the exercise is Raymond Belle, David Belle's own father.

Inspired by his father, Raymond Belle a French soldier who eventually joined the sapeurs-pompiers (military firefighters). Born in the midst of the fire department to make David's family was inspired by stories of heroism. At the age of 16 years, David decided to leave school to find his love of freedom, action, and to develop its strength and dexterity to be useful in life, as he always admonished by his father.

Raymond introduced to his son about an exercise hurdles and natural methods that eventually known as Parkour. Since that time, any David's after school he began playing the scenario for yourself how he could escape from a difficult situation. According to David, Parkour can be useful as a self-defense in unexpected circumstances. When martial art can be called as a form of exercise to fight (fight), parkour is a form of exercise for the flight (blurred).

Since the age of 15 years, David Belle moved to Lisses (one of the city in France). At that time, he met with the teens out there who are interested in what is being done by David. Here is the forerunner of the birth of a parkour group called Yamakasi. Together with childhood friend Sebastian Foucan and several other youths began to develop as a team Yamakasi Parkour is known in France. However, due to the difference principle, David and Sebastian parted and left the Yamakasi. So when the movie Yamakasi made in 2001 should continue to run without the presence of both of them.

Parkour David still holds the principle that remain about the effectiveness and efficiency in promoting the show has a philosophy of simplicity and quickly go through trials and efisient. While Sebastian prefer to make the movements of parkour is more beautiful, which can make people was interested. So that eventually he adds acrobat movements such as salto flip or in combination with the movement "pacours du combatant" who eventually became Freerunning. It makes different views with David Belle Sebastian Foucan. Because according to David Belle, acrobat or salto movement is very inefficient and very contrary to the originality of Parkour. Currently David Belle started touring the world with the association he founded (PAWA) with the first team he founded Parkour. And this is just a beginning

Terminology

Parkour originated from the word parcours du combatant, which means training sessions hurdles for the military. Parcours word "c" replaced with "k" and "s" is used to explain his own philosophy of Parkour. "Parkour's philosophy about efficiency."

While the term Traceur is a term for practitioners of parkour. Traceur someone could say if the person is already understand the meaning, basic, and the philosophy of Parkour itself. Traceur derived from the word "tracer", which means faster, speed up (to trace / to go fast).

Philosophy and moral values in Parkour.

The definition of Parkour is the art itself moved past some obstacle from point A to point B. Art is a new way to adapt to the environment or through all kinds of obstacles that are around you just by relying on the strength of the whole human body.

The purpose and essence of Parkour itself is able to face any obstacle or obstacles along the tracks that we've been through, both in the natural environment and in the urban environment, using some special and beautiful movement by combining some flowing movement and full control .

Parkour is also contains a positive learning for themselves, namely manjawab challenge to oppose all the fear from within ourselves. Because sometimes all barriers and obstacles that we will not go through as we've ever imagined.

The values contained in Parkour life

1. Art to go through all the problems in the track of life.

When we run the tracks of life, there are many obstacles and problems in life that look like obstacles in life. Everyone should have the final tjuan. But when we move to the final destination, many obstacles (obstacles) are facing. Using the principles of parkour, we will try to pass through obstacles such obstacles with a beautiful and full control. Solving the problem we face with effectively and efficiently. All human life must have their respective tracks.

2. Against Fear.

Someone who is afraid to try, it will not do anything about it and will not be anybody. All human beings must go through the process like this. If we can not fight the fear, guns will be no progress in life. We can ride motorcycles, success in business, won the tender and so is the fruit of our courage against fear.

But remember the fear and courage with a measuring tape balls. If we are too bold, we're going to act stupid, careless and even harm. But if I was too scared, then we will not do anything about it. So, between fear and courage must be balanced.

3. Risen from failure.

When we tried a movement in parkour, we will always fail or fall. But if we continue to stand up and try again, we will be able to master one of the movement. So also in life. Essentially dare brave the alias failed to fall. Try again and learn so as not to fail and fall again.

4. Flexibility and fluidity.

Parkour practice makes us flexible and our spirit continues to flow. So also in life. When we are in a new environment, we think to remain flexible and able to adapt to that environment. Although the environment was not originally make ourselves comfortable. While the fluidity will make ourselves have a spirit that continues to flow to go through life despite having a weight problem.

5. Creativity and freedom.

In Parkour we can be creative to create movements or combine several basic movements into a new movement depends on our creativity. Life was so, we must be creative so that it can be useful and beneficial in life. In addition, parkour also teaches us to move freely to freedom without a fight rules.

Parkour against competition.

A campaign was coming from some of Parkour practitioners are strongly opposed to the existence of competition and rivals in the Parkour. Competition is not in accordance with the philosophy and moral values that give priority to the freedom of parkour. The competition will only encourage someone to beat others or witnessed by the audience will only increase profits by a few corporations who only take advantage of Parkour.

Parkour Exercises are not intended to fight or beat others. Parkour is intended to help other people so that human beings have a way of thinking moderation (simple) and have a long physical endurance.

Not Parkour Extreme Sports.

Many ordinary people who saw the videos started to think that Parkour Parkour is an extreme sport and classify them with sports such as skate boards, BMX and more. So many people are desperate to do a dangerous movement that eventually resulted in serious injury.

Parkour is not only related to the nerve, but very closely related to the mature mind, and physical exercises and techniques are continuously pursued. Movements that we see through the video like the members of Yamakasi David Belle and the culmination of a long exercise during the teen years.

Develop and disseminate Parkour

Currently Parkour began to be known throughout the world including in Indonesia itself. Slowly some traceur who understand the philosophy and techniques in Parkour began to increase. Thanks to learning from some true information about the originality of parkour from trusted sources, Parkour gradually became a necessity and discipline in every traceur who have an understanding in each of his soul. This kind of knowledge should be disseminated to the general public and provide education that is right about Parkour ranging from history and philosophy associated in it.

The point is, Parkour is not just a physical training course. Parkour also reflects a moral philosophy with its own values. It's not just a sport, but also an art. And most importantly Parkour is a philosophy that is always used all the people every day.
