Jakarta - President SBY claims pleased over the result of bilateral meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister. "From my meetings with Prime Minister of Malaysia, we agreed to re-activate the` joint commission between the two countries, "the president said at a news conference in Malaysia, Tuesday night (05/18/2010).

A press conference was held in place of President Yudhoyono and entourage stayed at the Marriot Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. A press conference is intended to provide information on results of the two heads of state and the retreat of the bilateral talks followed by some ministers concerned.

According to SBY, the Government of Indonesia and Malaysia have agreed to return to the revitalization of the working groups that exist in the Joint Commission. From the discussion in the Joint Commission will be acted upon at least three working areas to be discussed.

"Three things are, the economy including investment, trade, and tourism, labor affairs and defense or security cooperation in the response to the threat of terrorism," he added.

To streamline the performance of the Joint Commission's second penangung responsibility of both countries will soon have a meeting in the near future. It is expected that the meeting could be held in Jakarta.

"The agenda of cooperation to identify what has been halted and needs to be driven active again and improve all areas of cooperation that requires evaluation," he explained.

Discuss Education

In the retreat meeting this afternoon, the two countries also agreed on the existence of a serious effort to appreciate each other. One of them by providing a decent service for migrant workers and migrant workers children who need education.
