Latihan TNI Bersama Tentara USA (USPACOM)



Army Navy and Navy of the United States from the ranks of U.S. Pacific Command (USPACOM) will mengelar joint exercises. Joint exercises (Latma) which was given titled 'Latma Naval Engagement Activity (NEA).

This exercise is at Headquarters Navy Eastern Fleet Command (Koarmatim) in Surabaya, Lamongan, and Situbondo.

Joint exercises were held starting on 26 May to 1 June 2010 and opened Commander Navy Eastern Fleet Command (Pangarmatim) admiral Among Margono, Wednesday (05/26/2010).

United States Parties present Commander Task Force (CTF) 73 Real Admiral Nora W. Tyson, the United States Consulate in Surabaya and was accompanied by several staff members and approximately 100 U.S. Navy personnel.

Navy personnel who will be involved in this joint exercise Koarmatim, Lantamal V, Pasmar 1, Puspenerbal, Kobangdikal, Naval Academy (AAL) and RSAL totaling 965 personnel.

In this joint exercise, the United States Navy came to Surabaya with four warships are USNS Salvor, USS Tortuga, USS Vandegrift, and the USCG Mellon that rely on Jetty Jamrud, Tanjung Perak.

Training schedule that lasted for six days will be held several demonstrations of the use of materials such as centrix (Enterrise Combined Regional Information Exchange System) on the USS Tortuga, health symposiums, symposia air, diving training, symposia Amphibious operations planning, Kamla exercises, and training in the Marines Coral Tekok, Situbondo, Banyuwangi.

Other activities are musical performances digelarnya collaboration between the Navy Band and U.S. Navy. Collaboration of music festivals held in three locations in Cito Mall on May 28, 2010 at 13:00 to 16:00 am, at the Super Mall Pakuwon PTC (Pakuwon Trade Centre) on 29-30 May 2010 at 18:00 to 21:00 am and at SMU 5 Surabaya May 31, 2010 at 8:00 pm until 12:00 pm.

In the framework of this joint exercise, the U.S. Navy will also be implementing Open Ships that provide opportunities to the people of Surabaya, especially high school students to visit the warships of the United States Navy who rely on the Tanjung Perak Port Jamrud. Visit made on May 30, 2010 starting at 09:00 to 13:00 hrs.
